Decompression:

Spinal decompression is a nonsurgical treatment approach that aims to relieve pressure on the spinal discs and nerves in the back or neck. The procedure involves stretching the spine using a motorized table or other traction device to create negative pressure, which can help pull bulging or herniated discs back into place, reduce pressure on compressed nerves, and promote healing. It helps to treat some other conditions such as spinal stenosis, scoliosis, sciatica, hip misalignment and much more. During spinal decompression therapy, the patient lies down on a traction table, and a harness is placed around the neck or waist depending on the area being treated. The traction table then gently stretches the spine, creating negative pressure within the spinal discs. This negative pressure causes a vacuum-like effect within the discs, which helps to pull the disc material back into place and relieve pressure on the surrounding nerves.

In the case of neck pain, spinal decompression therapy can help relieve pressure on the cervical vertebrae and discs, reducing pain and discomfort in the neck, shoulders, and arms.  (Picture of neck decompression)
In the case of lower back pain, spinal decompression therapy can help relieve pressure on the lumbar vertebrae and discs, reducing pain and discomfort in the lower back, hips, and legs.
